The US government holds the right to print paper with designated monetary value. With $1.7 trillion in value in circulation, bills often need to be removed from circulation due to being too damaged or worn. Banks send these bills to the Federal Reserve to be officially demonetized by shredding.
We obtained this shredded currency legally from the Federal Reserve after a long approval process with the US Dept. of the Treasury.
