Thermoplastic Pellets
Thermoplastic Pellets
Item #188
This bag contains approximately 100 grams of pellets made of a polymer called polycaprolactone (PCL). They can be melted into a putty-like consistency, formed into a shape, and cooled to become a rigid object.
PCL melts at only 60 °C (140 °F) which can be accomplished with hot water. This makes it ideal for hobbyists for small-scale modeling, repairing plastic objects, prototyping, and custom part fabrication.
To use, pour some or all of the pellets into your hot water. They will become transparent and congeal together within minutes. Carefully extract them with a spoon or by pouring the water out first. The thermoplastic should now be moldable.
Form the material into whatever shape you’d like and when your design is finished, leave to cool at room temperature. It will become opaque in color when completely cooled.
Once cooled, your thermoplastic can be remelted and used over and over.
This listing is for 100g of thermoplastic pellets in a bag.
