The Windstorm Whistle™ is a specialized safety device designed to produce an extremely loud, piercing sound that can be heard over long distances, even in high winds or noisy environments.

This whistle features multiple chambers that take advantage of the acoustic principle called Helmholtz resonance to amplify the sound efficiently, as illustrated in the diagram.

The effect is dramatic enough that it has been called “The Loudest Whistle in the World”, with the ability to produce sound levels exceeding 100 decibels. This is loud enough to be heard over the roar of strong winds or crashing waves.
