The LPS Filter L-Pro for the photography of deep-sky objects such as B. nebulae and galaxies. The steady expansion of cities and the associated light pollution from more and more artificial light sources have become a growing problem for all astrophotographers. Common solutions to this can be expensive and include the purchase of a monochrome camera, various types of narrowband filters, and a filter wheel. Especially with inexpensive Newtonian telescopes, double-lens ED refractors or even achromatic lenses, the L-Pro filters open up completely new possibilities for taking high-quality astronomical photos even from the bright city. CMOS cameras can even deliver images almost like monochrome cameras. This new generation of filters makes it possible to take amazing astrophotos directly from the city with all its artificial light sources. L-Pro is a multi-bandpass filter that offers a better color balance by expanding the transmission range. The balanced transmission enables astrophotos with minimal color cast for broadband emission objects such as galaxies, reflection nebulae and globular star clusters. L-Pro is the first choice for light pollution suppression.
L-Pro description
The L-Pro (L-Professional) filter was developed to improve the visibility of various deep sky objects. It selectively reduces the transmission of the wavelengths of light pollution, especially that of artificial lighting such as mercury vapor lamps, high and low-pressure sodium vapor lamps and the unwanted natural light caused by neutral oxygen emission in our atmosphere (i.e. Skyglow). Together with the high transmission in the main emission lines of the nebula at OIII (496nm and 500nm), H-beta (486nm), NII (654nm and 658nm), H-alpha (656nm) and SII (672nm), this filter is suitable for the contrast and improve details for both visual and photographic purposes in rural areas with high levels of light pollution. L-Pro is a multi-bandpass filter, which offers a better color balance by optimizing the transmission band. The balanced transmission enables astrophotos with minimal color cast for broadband emission objects such as galaxies, reflection nebulae and globular star clusters. L-Pro is the best choice for light pollution suppression.
Main uses and performance
Suitable for visual observation and astrophotography. The L-Pro filter has a very low transmission loss for celestial objects with a uniform spectrum and is therefore very effective in suppressing light pollution sources, such as in photography of galaxies, reflection nebulae and globular clusters. The same goes for visual stargazing. The L-Pro filter alone suppresses infrared wavelengths and can therefore be used for '' L '' images with CCDs without any problems. Light pollution filters do not remove the effects of light pollution or increase the brightness of the object. In many cases they simply increase the contrast between the fog and the night sky, but not the brightness of the fog itself.
WARNING: These nebulae filters are not suitable for solar observation. NEVER LOOK AT THE SUN WITH THIS FILTER. You would go BLIND if you didn't heed this warning.
Coating technology
L-Pro has multiple anti-reflective coating on the optical substrate. The L-Pro filter uses a precision coating based on ion deposition coating technology. This ensures durability and scratch resistance as well as stability on the CWL (central wavelength), which is not affected by temperature changes. Absolute precision and homogeneity of the coatings as well as maximum values for the transmission in the passband and the optical density in the off-band area are guaranteed for all filters.
