Xenon's atomic number is 54 and its symbol is Xe. Xenon is a colorless and odorless noble gas. There are only trace amounts of this rare noble gas in the atmosphere which makes it more expensive than most noble gasses. When electrified, it produces a light blue plasma.

Its main uses are in very bright specialized light bulbs. You may have also noticed xenon being used as an inert gas in your car's headlights. Xenon can also be used as a general anesthetic, but because of its cost, it is uncommon to see it used in this way.

The xenon in this cube element display is under vacuum. This means that if you put the cube next to an energy source such as a tesla coil, it glows a light blue color.
