I purchased the tool roll for my small (8 1/2” total length) metal working files and it worked better than I hoped. The narrow pockets are just the right width for my uses. The double row of pockets, something I overlooked in the description allows my to store twice as many files as I expected without them rubbing against each other to get dull. And the price was great, I couldn’t cut the canvas for that price let alone sew them. GladI bought a couple.

This is a practical, no-Frills item. However, that doesn't mean it's not well made. It is. Thick, flexible canvas, lots of little tool pockets, just what I needed. It'll probably last as long as I do!

This wasn’t made with a mechanic in mind. All tool slots are the same width, and I had to undo the stitching between some of the slots to accommodate box end wrenches larger than 13 mm. Single row stitching wouldn’t be found in a surplus military tool roll, or at least the stitching would be more robust. My mil surplus tool roll finally wore out after 42 years. It held a full tool set and was more thoughtfully laid out. This one is only slightly useful.

the tool bag works well with my rowing wrenches and folds nicely to fit into my backpack.
