Ruthenium's atomic number is 44 and it's symbol is Ru. Ruthenium is a bright, reflective, silver color, similar to platinum. Its most common use is on electrical contacts, to provide a more wear resistant surface, than the more commonly used gold. Ruthenium is a fairly expensive precious metal, with a current value of $600 USD per ounce as of March 2023.
We use 2 different samples depending on availability. Both cubes have the same weight of Ruthenium encased in the acrylic. One sample we use is a bead or beads depending on weight and the other is an ampoule. Feel free to reach out to us and see what samples we currently have in stock.
